Built from the payroll end of the supply chain.
Templace comes from the part of temporary recruitment where an agency’s mistakes arrive as tax bills, underpayments and tribunal claims — and is designed so they don’t.
Why it exists
A temporary placement touches more law than almost any other sale: the Conduct Regulations, the Agency Workers Regulations, working time, the minimum wage, right to work, IR35, CIS, the umbrella rules and data protection, every week, for every worker. Most agency software was built to fill vacancies and has had compliance bolted on since.
Templace was built the other way round. Its founder has supplied payroll services to UK recruitment agencies since 2005, and the platform is shaped by what goes wrong at that end: a KID that does not match the payslip, holiday pay worked out on the wrong weeks, an umbrella that did not operate PAYE, a check that expired the week before a booking.
How it is built
Every rule that matters is a function the screens call, so a booking, a shift offer and a payroll run all ask the same question and get the same answer. Each release is gated by 215 automated test suites, and a control is not counted as working until a test has been seen to fail when it is broken on purpose.
When the platform cannot do something, it says so on the screen rather than leaving a gap that looks like a feature. That habit is the most useful thing we can tell you about it.

A trial runs on sample data in your colours and your logo, so the people who will use it can judge it as theirs. Tell us your sector and how many workers you place in a week.
