About this statement
This statement applies to templace.co.uk and to the Templace service (the Service), including the screens and careers websites that agencies' candidates, workers and clients see under the agency's own name and brand.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use them. Our aim is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA.
We are a private company, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us. We use the same shape of statement because it is a clear way to tell you where we stand. As a service provider, we have duties under the Equality Act 2010, including making reasonable adjustments.
How we aim to make it usable
We design the website and the Service with the aim that you can:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings;
- zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen;
- move around using only a keyboard;
- use a screen reader or speech recognition software;
- understand the text, which we keep as plain as we can.
How accessible it is
We have not had a formal accessibility audit, so we do not claim that the website or the Service fully meets WCAG 2.2 AA.
We know that some content may not meet it, particularly content that agencies and their people add, which we do not control. This includes:
- documents uploaded to the Service, such as scanned certificates, photographs of documents and PDF files, which are often not readable by screen readers;
- the text, pictures, job adverts and brand colours that an agency chooses for its careers website and screens, which may lack text alternatives or enough colour contrast;
- documents that an agency writes from its own templates and sends for e-signature.
Reporting an accessibility problem
If you find a problem that is not listed here, or you think we are not meeting our aim, please tell us. Contact us at terry@hilliernet.co.uk, on 07789 938284, or by post at Meadway, Mill Road, Writhlington, Radstock, BA3 5TY.
We will reply within 5 working days. Working days are Monday to Friday, except bank holidays in England and Wales. If we cannot fix the problem straight away, we will tell you what we will do and when, and help you do what you need another way in the meantime.
If you use the Service under an agency's name, you can report the problem to the agency or to us. We will work with the agency to put it right.
It helps if you tell us:
- the web address of the page, or the screen in the Service;
- what you were trying to do;
- what went wrong;
- the device, browser and any assistive technology you use, such as a screen reader or magnifier.
Other formats and adjustments
If you need information from us in a different format, such as large print, an accessible document, plain text or a phone call, contact us as above. We will reply within 5 working days.
If you are a candidate or worker and cannot complete a step in an agency's process, such as registering or signing a document, ask the agency for another way to do it. Agencies have their own duties under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments, and we will help them where the Service is involved.
If you are not happy with our reply
You can make a complaint under our Complaints procedure. It explains our timescales and how to escalate a complaint to the Director.
Technical information
The website and the Service are built with standard web technologies: HTML, CSS and JavaScript. They are designed to work with current versions of common browsers and the assistive technologies that work with them.
The website's fonts and pictures are served from the site itself, and the website sets no cookies.
What we are doing to improve
We will:
- check new and changed screens against WCAG 2.2 AA as part of building them;
- fix problems reported to us, starting with those that stop people completing a task;
- update this statement when we fix a listed problem or find a new one;
- help agencies make their own content accessible when they ask.
Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared in October 2026. It is based on our own knowledge of how the website and the Service are built, not on a formal audit.
We will review it at least once a year, and whenever we make a significant change to the website or the Service.
